BIM: Our Commitment to Architects and Planners

“SBI Sweden became one of the first in its industry to take the digital leap. Today, they are not only a role model for other manufacturers, but also a company that proudly exports both physical quality and digital precision.”

Products at the Forefront of BIM Development

SBI Sweden was recently featured in Bimstone’s latest newsletter, highlighting our commitment to supporting architects, planners, and designers with smart digital tools and BIM-ready vehicle models.

The article, titled “SBI Sweden Puts Children in the Driver’s Seat – and Their Products at the Forefront of BIM Development”, explores how our long-standing dedication to innovation and quality has extended into the digital design space. Enabling better collaboration and easier integration of our rides and children’s vehicles into construction and landscape projects.

A Digital Leap That Makes a Difference

At SBI Sweden, we’ve always believed in putting experience, safety, and functionality first. Both for the children using our vehicles and for the professionals who design the environments in which they are used. That’s why we made the early decision to invest in BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology and offer our full product range as digital models in Autodesk Revit.

This allows architects, designers and planning consultants to seamlessly incorporate our vehicles into traffic schools, themed attractions, amusement parks, and other family-focused environments with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

As our CEO Markus Jonsson explained in the interview with Bimstone:

To build long-term relationships with architects, consultants, and planning firms, we quickly realized the importance of offering our products as BIM objects in Autodesk Revit. This makes it easier, faster, and safer to integrate our products into projects around the world.

Supporting Designers with Smart BIM Objects

Each of our BIM objects includes rich data. From product dimensions and safety zones to installation requirements and recommended usage areas. This not only streamlines the design and approval process but also reduces the risk of errors during implementation.

Our digital models are frequently updated to reflect the latest developments in both design and safety standards, making them valuable tools for any professional looking to create high-quality, interactive play and learning environments.

A Step Toward the Future

The decision to digitize our product catalog was initially sparked by a request from one of our international partners. Since then, it has become a cornerstone of how we work with designers around the globe. And by this, we ensure that our physical craftsmanship is matched by digital precision.

We’re grateful to Bimstone for recognizing our efforts and helping to share our story with a wider audience. As digital design tools become increasingly essential in the planning of public spaces and attractions, we remain committed to being a trusted partner to architects, planners, and developers.
