Dyreparken Kristiansand has taken another step in enhancing its visitor experience by renewing and expanding its beloved children’s driving school attraction.

In collaboration with Toyota dealers in Norway, the park initially introduced 15 custom-built miniature Toyota RAV4 vehicles, providing young visitors with an exciting, independent driving experience. Now, following the success of the attraction, Dyreparken has purchased an additional 20 vehicles from SBI Sweden and is expanding the driving course to accommodate growing demand.

Kristiansand Dyrepark, usually called “Dyreparken” (Norwegian therme for Zoo) is one of Norway’s most visited Zoo and Amusement Parks. Founded in 1965, the park attracts approximately one million visitors annually, and in 2020, it surpassed a milestone of 25 million total visitors. In 2025 Dyreparken still continues to innovate and enhance its offerings for families.

Revitalizing and Expanding the Driving School Attraction

For many years, SBI Sweden has proudly collaborated with Dyreparken on their popular children’s driving attraction, Bilbanen. In summer 2021, the park unveiled a refreshed version of the attraction in partnership with Toyota dealers in Norway, who joined as sponsors.

The renewed driving school originally featured 15 custom-built miniature Toyota RAV4 vehicles. These electric, battery-powered cars allow young drivers to navigate independently. Just like real drivers, but in a safe, controlled environment.

Following overwhelmingly positive feedback and high visitor engagement, Dyreparken has now expanded the fleet with 20 more vehicles, further enhancing capacity and improving the guest experience. The driving track is also being extended, ensuring that even more children can enjoy the attraction simultaneously.
